The Hunslet Club is a youth organisation based in South Leeds which exists “to promote the physical, social and educational development of young people aged between 18 months and 18 years in the city of Leeds and surrounding areas, through the provision of social, recreational, educational and sporting activities and to engage with the wider community by providing facilities for community use.”

You will join our team of Youth Worker's in our existing youth provision and be part of our junior youth club (ages 8-12) and our senior youth club (aged 13 plus).

We have a sports hall, a gym, a games room, a catering kitchen, a dance studio, a boxing gym and an arts classroom all for our young people to enjoy.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- be part of our existing evening programme that is exciting and ever changing providing a safe environment for young people to express themselves.
- Welcoming young people into the building, ensuring everything is running smoothly and supporting young people engaging with activities
- To work directly with young people to develop their social skills, develop healthy relationships and make decisions that are right for them
- To establish positive relationships with children and young people
- To be a role model for young people and present a positive “can do” attitude
- To respond to the needs of the young people through activities at the youth club
- To work flexibly to ensure the needs of the members are met, including disadvantaged those with additional needs and disabilities
- To ensure the participation of young people in activities and that their ideas contribute fully in the delivery of activities in a safe way
- Ability to enthuse others including staff, volunteers and young people to making the environment fun and the place to be

The Hunslet Club reserve the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time in accordance to the needs of the business

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
