Data Protection Officer

About the Role

As a DPO within the LexisNexis Legal & Professional organization, you will act as a primary contact for the LNLP business unit within the CEMEA region providing advice and guidance regarding privacy regulation to the business and key stakeholders to ensure business practices are in compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Measuring and tracking privacy compliance activity and communicate privacy risks to the business stakeholders
- Managing and optimizing privacy program and governance for LexisNexis Legal & Professional
- Driving completion of records of processing activities (ROPA), legitimate interest assessments (LIA), privacy and data protection impact assessments (DPIA
- Coordinating and validating implementation of privacy controls and mitigation measures set out in assessments to support privacy compliance
- Maintaining and reporting privacy metrics that meaningfully measure and assess privacy program and key results
- Identifying and implementing improvements to privacy program processes, templates and workflows
- Assisting the Global DPO in the development of the data privacy strategy and in delivering the data privacy program

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrate substantial experience with GDPR as a privacy professional managing a privacy program operating in multiple jurisdictions.
- Have Fluency in French and English is required, proficiency in other European languages a plus.
- Show experience designing and running international data protection programs.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of data protection requirements.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to build influential relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Demonstrate expertise in articulating data protection requirements for business understanding and practical implementation in a multinational, multicultural environment
- CIPP/E, CIPM or other officially recognized privacy certification will be a benefit
