Our client is a Systems and Engineering Technology consultancy, operating from offices around the UK, helping and advising clients with their technical knowledge to develop, enhance and protect their critical assets, systems and processes.
**Fusion Engineer**
They are currently looking for Fusion Engineers to support their work in the Fusion Energy sector.
As a Fusion Engineer or Fusion Scientist, you will provide support and technical leadership to UK and international clients in the Fusion Energy sector.
Building upon our client’s existing team, they are looking to enhance their existing capabilities as well as bringing in new technical disciplines, such as:
Plasma physics, cryogenic engineering, vacuum systems engineering, electrical controls & instrumentation, data analytics, fusion technology & systems engineering, super-conducting magnet engineering, fusion materials engineering, manufacturing & fabricationfor fusion systems, MBSE and digital engineering.
You will have previous experience of working as an engineer or scientist in the fusion sector and will have a good appreciation of fusion devices, the types and approaches being developed today and the associated challenges.
As this is a role working for a professional consultancy, you will also need to have:

- Good customer-facing skills, with experience in responding positively, efficiently and effectively to requests and concerns.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, report writing skills, experience in delivering presentations and communicating with staff and clients.
- Strong technical and analytical skills that enable successful implementation of project deliverables and concepts to deliver long-term innovation and cost-saving improvements.

In addition to the above mandatory requirements, the following would be highly beneficial:

- Experience working within a consultancy environment.
- A history of involvement in large, complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- A track record of working successfully with clients and developing new business opportunities.
- An appreciation or working knowledge of the UK nuclear-sector supply chain.
