**Position Available: Community Support Worker**

We are seeking individuals to join us in this highly rewarding opportunity to provide support and guidance, aiding individuals in their day-to-day living - every day will bring new experiences as you support our clients in trying new things and to make connections with their peers and the local community.

**Roles Available**:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be working closely with a 57-year-old man who has experienced a stroke and now lives independently in his own home. Due to his condition, the client is registered blind and requires assistance with daily living activities and mobility within his home. This position involves 12-hour shifts, providing ample time for comprehensive care and support.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide guidance and support to the client with daily living activities, including mobilisation around the home.
- Assist the client in achieving his personal goals, such as accessing the community and building stamina for mobility.
- Engage the client in stimulating activities tailored to his interests and preferences.
- Accompany the client on walks and outings in the community.
- Support the client in pursuing his hobbies, including participating in pub quizzes, watching sci-fi films, listening to audio books, gardening, and engaging in physical activities such as attending the gym.
- Assist with personal care needs as required.

**Additional Information**:

- The individual you will be supporting is based in Gobowen; however, you may be required to support other clients located in the Shropshire area from time to time. Flexibility in travel may be necessary to fulfill this aspect of the role.

Additionally, we provide access to our Community Wellbeing Centre, a hub for social engagement and therapeutic activities. Our dedicated Community Team, known as ABICS (Acquired Brain Injury Community Support), delivers personalised support services to individuals in their homes and communities. Through our compassionate and specialised care, we enhance the quality of life for those affected by brain injury and their families.
