**Overview
**On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Property and Assets team in Buckinghamshire.This role focuses on RIBA stages 0-5, however for construction projects, the postholder may take projects through the other stages of RIBA under the supervision of the Head of Construction.
**About the role
**As an Investment and Development Project Manager, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

- Provide commercial guidance on large-scale, complex capital projects with a value of over £5 million+ per project commencing at pre-tender/pre-appointments stage (RIBA 0-1) and through the project life cycle (end of RIBA 7)
- Influence and motivate stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure successful project delivery
- The role will involve contract formation, management and monitoring projects ensuring internal governance procedures are followed.
- Responsible for monitoring of budgets, and determining final costs
- Produce Highlight and Exception reports as required, to provide senior managers with early warning of escalating project risks.
- Attend Project and Contract Reviews to promote best practice.
- Produce Project Services reports, management information, documents and presentations.
- Make regular visits to site and attend regular project meetings during a projects development, delivery and on completion to ensure that works are and have been developed and delivered in accordance with any agreed terms to a high standard and representbest value.
- Perform assurance checks on project activity, including audit, health checks and phase end reviews.
- Ensure financial information for each project is up to date and accurate to assist the PGS Capital Spend Programme Manager in monitoring and reporting Project Budgets (Capital and Revenue).

This is a temporary position for 6-12 months, though this is dependent on how long the project is required. The pay rate is £26.37 per hour, and you will be working part time, 2-3 days per week, though this is also dependent on the requirements within the projectBuckinghamshire Council are working on a hybrid basis where you will work in the office 1-2 days per week and remotely or on site visits for the rest of the time.
The Aylesbury and High Wycombe offices are conveniently situated near the town centres (HP20 and HP11 areas) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.
**About you
- Evidence of managing a project through the process to gain planning permission
- Proven ability to collate, process, and analyse complex information, ensuring all required information is maintained correctly
- Experience of managing budgets or helping to monitor programme budgets
- Experience of mentoring team members to build knowledge and experience
- Experience of operating JCT Design & Build (Develop & Construct) contract terms is desired but not essential
