**Job Purpose**

The Enabling Works Supervisor will support the Project Manager/Management team as required across the contract to ensure safe and successful delivery.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager the Enabling Works Supervisor will be responsible for the scoping of sites as directed by the Project Manager in accordance with contract and site specification ahead of examination and inspection works. The scoping will establish the safest and most efficient work methodology for each site along with safe access and egress - The Supervisor will be required to capture this detail on the relevant task briefing sheet for sharing with the wider team.

Enabling work activities will include de-vegetation, cladding removal and other obstruction removal including fence removal and access management. The role will include an understanding of environmental factors which may affect the works, and liaising with relevant stakeholders including internal teams, Network Rail, Canals and Rivers Trust, Environment Agency, 3rd party landowners, and local authorities.

**Job duties**
- Site scoping and task briefing sheet writing
- Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers to plan and organize safe and efficient operations.
- Execution of on-site sub-contractor audits in line with the relevant H&S plan for the project.
- Responsible for ensuring their workload is managed effectively and that issues are raised as soon as they become apparent to the Project Manager
- Challenge any unsafe acts and escalate where needed
- Production of site-specific documentation, including TBS and RAMs.
- Ensuring that everyone is working safely at all times.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including CRT, Traffic Management Contractors and 3rd party landowners to arrange access.
- Responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with agreed technical and quality standards.
- Ensure that staff and subcontractors are briefed on technical aspects, safe systems of work and deliverables.
- Co-ordination and monitoring of multi-disciplinary activities.
- Trouble shooting, offering a flexible approach to delivering work and supporting field teams with decision making.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- IOSH/SSSTS or similar
- Vegetation work experience
- 1st Aid
- Basic understanding of IT, Microsoft Word/Excel

**Desirable (but not essential)**
- PTS/COSS/IWA
- NPTC Chainsaw, Brush Cutter, Hedge Cutter or similar

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
