Design Engineer

**Job Responsibilities:**:

- Design products with both 2D and 3D CAD systems
- Complete design and validation work to agreed timing plans
- Effectively maintain design record files as appropriate
- Define and perform static and dynamic product validation testing
- Perform production sample testing
- Resolve customer related issues in a timely manner
- Effectively co-ordinate teams from Production, Purchasing and Sales to resolve engineering concerns / issues
- Actively participate in team or project based activities where required

**Preferred Skills:**:

- Minimum qualification HND / HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Knowledge and experience of the use of Solidworks and AutoCAD
- Proven ability to deliver new designs to planned release date, generate specifications for product improvement and perform physical validation testing of new designs
- A minimum of 2 year's experience in a Design role within a manufacturing company.
- Some experience of working within the disability, automotive or vehicle conversion sector, or a closely related industry desirable.

**Working Hours**: 8.00am to 5.30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-3pm Fri
