**About Us**

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Charity and Housing Association. The Society of St James (SSJ) has been working in Hampshire for over 40 years, delivering high impact, person-centred, accommodation services to adults and young people experiencing homelessness, problematic substance use and mental health problems. We believe that every person is of worth and we are prepared to take risks to house and support the most at risk and socially excluded members of society.

**The Role**

The Café in The Park is looking for highly motivated cook to join our amazing team, undertaking duties including food preparation, basic cooking and serving of food and drinks to the public in a positive and welcoming manner.

Run by the Society of St James, Cafe in the Park is so much more than just great food in a beautiful setting. Our dedicated team provides employment and training opportunities for people who have experienced homelessness and substance misuse.

You do not have to have experienced homelessness and substance misuse to work at our Café but you must have an understanding of these issues and an ability to work with a range of Staff and Volunteers who have. Due to the nature of the work you will need to be 18 or over to apply. There will also be a need to work some Saturdays.

It would be beneficial to have previous experience working as a cook in a busy environment.
