An opportunity has arisen for a Purchase Ledger/Accounts Payable professional to join us in this fast-paced and integral role.

**A little more about the role**

Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, you will ensure that invoices are properly processed on business systems, costs are allocated correctly, and timely payments are made.

You will work with a team of colleagues taking full responsibility of the end to end accounts payable process.

**Key responsibilities include**
- Process large volumes of invoices and match to purchase orders, ensuring costs are allocated correctly
- Develop strong relationships across business functions to ensure a consistent process for processing and disputing invoices is achieved
- Communicate with external stakeholders to ensure all parties are kept up to date on relevant matters relating to payments
- Reconcile key supplier statements
- Respond to and resolve complex matters that are escalated to you by team members
- Instigate and lead on efficiency projects that support developments and improvements within the purchase ledger function

**About You**
You will have previous Purchase Ledger experience including a basic understanding of accounting and exposure to systems and Excel.

Given the nature of the role, you will need to be an effective communicator with the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

You will be will highly organised and collaborative, being able to engage across business functions to ensure costs are allocated correctly and timely payments are made.

Ideally, you may have achieved an accounting qualification or be studying towards this.
