Trainee Machinist Apprentice

- PETA are proud to be working with Korber Technologies to recruit and train a Trainee Machinist Apprentice. This opportunity is a full-time role based at their site in Winchester.

**Training to be provided**:
As a Trainee Machinist Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship. Throughout your Apprenticeship with Korber, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach.
- You will attend PETA’s Havant training centre for off-the-job training, one day per week for 39 months of the apprenticeship.
- Overall duration 45 months.
- **The job role is to start ASAP and training to start in April. Not suitable for school leavers 2024.**

**About the role**:
Joining the team as a Trainee Machinist Apprentice, your role will be focused on learning a range of machining processes such as milling, turning, grinding, drilling and broaching within a workshop environment. You will become competent in reading & understanding technical drawings and have exposure to different departments in the business when doing this apprenticeship.
- Your core responsibilities will include:

- Setting & Operating manual machines
- Setting & Operating CNC machines
- Inspection of operations against jobs
- Use of Fusion 360 CAM package & CNC programming

**Apprenticeship Progression**:
Over time, the role will develop to offer challenging new responsibilities to stretch your capabilities and understanding. Upon completion of your apprenticeship programme, there is the potential to be offered a full-time position.

An apprenticeship is all about learning new knowledge, skills and behaviours, therefore, to be considered for this role of a Trainee Machinist Apprentice, you must be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in engineering and a willingness to learn.
