Content Marketing Specialist

DataMarked is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling content to drive understanding of, and engagement with the DataMarked solution, building brand awareness for us in the market, and generating leads. This role requires a creative individual with a passion for storytelling, a keen understanding of marketing strategies, and a talent for translating technical concepts into impactful messages.
This position would suit dynamic individuals with experience of working in the fast paced, and slightly chaotic world of early stage start-ups.
**Your Key Responsibilities**:
**Content Creation**:
- Develop thought leadership articles, blog posts, press releases, case studies, and research papers to drive understanding of the DataMarked proposition in the market. We want amazing content that illustrates how well our technology addresses the needs of our target audiences and showcases the team’s strong industry expertise.
- Ensure all content is well-researched, accurate, and tailored to resonate with our key target audience segments.
**Content Optimization and Lead Generation**:
- Develop content marketing strategies to attract and nurture leads throughout the sales funnel.
- Create gated content assets, such as eBooks, whitepapers, and webinars, to capture prospect information and support lead generation efforts.
- Define success metrics and track Marketing performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
**PR and Communications**:
- Own the PR and communications process to produce press releases and media pitches which secure coverage for DataMarked in relevant publications.
- Maintain relationships with journalists and industry influencers which amplify DataMarked’s brand message and help increase visibility with key target
**Requirements**:
**Content Creation Expertise**:
- Proven track record in creating thought leadership articles, blogs, and various content types.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling content.
- Demonstrated skill in generating leads through content marketing.
**Social Media Expertise**:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and influencer dynamics.
- Proficiency in leveraging social media for marketing purposes.
**Technical Marketing Expertise**:
- Solid understanding of content optimization principles across multiple platforms (keyword research, metadata optimization, performance metric monitoring etc).
- Familiarity with PR strategies, including media relations and press release writing.
- Proficiency with CRM / marketing automation tools.
- Experience of conducting market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, the competitive landscape, and inform strategic thinking.
**General**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and engage with customers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- UK based, with ability to travel for meetings (mainly London & Hampshire).
**Benefits**
Salary - between £30,000 and £45,000 depending on experience plus 5% employers' pension contribution. EMI option scheme (have an ownership in the business with a tax efficient payout if/when we are sold or go public). 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. More benefits to come as we grow.
