**HOURS: Zero hours contract - Hours to be discussed, Days/Evenings & Weekends**
**PAY: £10.42 - £11.50 per hour (depending on experience)**
At Baby I Love You we operate a private ultrasound clinic specialising in diagnostic obstetric ultrasound scans. Our services range from early pregnancy scans from 7 weeks though to full term.
You must be able to show compassion and be able to offer a mature and sensitive approach to manage difficult conversations as and when required. This position will be a support to the team and to the registered clinic manager.
A key element of the role is around care, quality, and safety and this must be always demonstrated, allowing patients the opportunity to have a special, safe and personal experience.
The role will frequently involve multi-tasking between the scan assistant role and front of house reception; therefore, customer service experience is essential to this role.
Full training will be provided on successful appointment.
**Roles Specific**
Scan Assistant Duties
- Assisting and providing continuous support to the clinical team and Sonographer in the scan room allowing the sonographer to concentrate of the clinical aspects of the scan
- To build rapport and communicate with the customers and their families, making them feel comfortable, inclusive and reassured at all times to ensure a smooth, enjoyable and relaxed experience is achieved.
- Ability to deal with difficult and challenging situations, be aware of escalation routes
- Ensure strict confidentiality protocols are adhered to at all times
- Basic understanding of machinery to access records
- Maintain and comply with strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment
- Commitment to attend any necessary training in line with regulations and/or E-learning
- To look for and capture upsell opportunities throughout the customers visit including additional scans, upgrades and extra merchandise
- To handle basic administration tasks to a good standard
- To be prepared to take on other duties and responsibilities within the clinic as required, including reception, marketing, social media and administration

- An excellent customer experience is what our company is built around, it is therefore essential that every customer receives an outstanding customer experience. Previous customer service skills and experience in a similar role is essential

**Desirable Skills**
- Knowledge and understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment
- Experience in phlebotomy or willingness to train
- First Aid
