**Materials Controller - £27,000 - £29,000 Dependant on Experience**

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit an experienced Materials Controller.

Our client is a well-established, rapidly growing business. They’re looking to improve systems and procedures within the business to support their continued success.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will suit someone who is keen to make a difference, is well organised and has a clear focus on making improvements.
- Manage all suppliers on a day-to-day basis
- Responsible for creating purchase orders for direct and indirect materials via purchase requisition, MRP or other stock replenishment methods.
- Responsible for expediting of all purchase orders for direct and indirect suppliers, to ensure they arrive on time to meet production and customer requirements.
- Control, maintain and manage the correct stock levels to ensure on time delivery to customers whilst ensuring no over stocking.
- Work closely with all suppliers to ensure they achieve agreed performance targets on Quality and delivery.
- Update and maintain all supplier details on the system such as lead times, MOQ’s, order method and contract information.
- Resolve any supplier invoice queries relating to quality and price.
- Support and input into the daily production meeting.
- Actively participate where required in lean and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in company stocktakes.

**Person Specification**
- Previous experience in a similar role, able to demonstrate an understanding of how an efficient materials control function should work and how to implement best practise.
- Committed, enthusiastic and enjoy a challenge.
- Friendly, good team player.
- Want to make a role your own, take pride in delivering improvements for the business.

Our client is offering a good salary, working 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday, LS27 area.

31 Days holiday, including Stats, Pension, workwear etc.
