Lascar Electronics is a fast-growing international electronics business, with offices in the UK, USA and Hong Kong, specialising in the design and manufacture of data loggers, smart graphic displays and custom electronic products. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electronic Design Engineer to become part of our team to design and develop new and exciting products from concept through to manufacture and beyond.

**Key tasks will include**:

- Researching, developing and designing electronic products;
- Embedded firmware development;
- Schematic capture;
- Application and test software development;
- Producing reliable, high-quality products, fit-for-manufacture, which fully meet the specifications and applicable industry standards (EMC etc);
- Mentoring and development of junior engineers.
**About you**:
Successful applicants should have a passion for science and technology.

You will also have:

- A minimum of two years' experience in an electronics product design environment;
- A strong electronics background in both analogue, digital and microcontroller design;
- Experience of developing embedded C/C++ firmware;
- An understanding of relevant approvals processes such as CE and EMC;
- Low power design;
- Communication technologies, RS232, RS485, USB, I2C, SPI, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth;
- Use of and configuration of IDE tools, code editors, in-circuit debuggers and emulators;
- Hardware debugging with the use of equipment such as Oscilloscopes, multimeters and logic analysers.

**Benefits**:
In return we offer:

- A salary up to £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
- You will have a starting entitlement of 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing each year to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays as well as being able to take a one month paid sabbatical every six years.
