**The Opportunity**

In this role you will be prioritising, completing and reporting on food, packaging and service provider supply chain audits to ensure food safety, quality, legality and integrity of goods and services supplied to Samworth Brothers meet the required standards. This includes the ability to collectively work with the supplier base to ensure the timely and effective close out for areas of concern raised as part of routine audits.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and agree suitable mitigations for risks identified within the supply chain on both a desktop and physical audit basis.
- Logistical planning of the audit schedule and has the capability to produce top line audit KPI reports as required for senior meetings
- Where it is appropriate for you to support VACCP studies as part of your role, as well as support the actions identified from horizon scanning and emerging issues
- Work in a collaborative manner with a team to continuously improve systems in line with industry progression.
- Degree qualified in science based discipline or equivalent experience gained within the food industry
- High risk/High care food manufacturing experience
- Lead Auditor qualified
- HACCP Level 3
- Experience of BRCGS standards as well as retailer standards particularly Tesco & Marks & Spencer
