JDI Legal are currently working on a brand new role for a mid tier firm in the city centre of Newcastle.

My clients are based in lovely modern offices spaces within easy reach of multiple public transport links and numerous car parking areas and have an excellent office culture which is fairly relaxed whilst still professional and fast paced.

The role is that of legal secretary and its a permanent and full time requirement based within their busy commercial property team, supporting a range of fee earners.

**Main Duties will include**:

- Opening files on practice management system
- Obtaining ID, conducting AML searches and media checks
- Typing audio dictation for one or more solicitors, including letters, telephone notes, and file notes
- Preparing prescribed forms e.g. SDLT Returns, Land Registry forms
- Preparing documentation relevant to client matters e.g. epitomes of title, leases, contracts etc.
- Ordering property searches
- Creating paying in slips, requisitioning payments, and preparing completion statements
- Dealing with clients face to face, preparing invoices
- Scheduling completed documents and forwarding these to clients
- Closing files on practice management system

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Newcastle upon Tyne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- audio/digital dictation: 2 years (required)
- working in a busy property dept of a law firm: 2 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
