In this position you will play a key role in the procurement of all material for all projects. You will work closely with our Procurement and Operations teams in ensuring quantified material is grouped per product group to give a view of requirements over the course of all projects, then negotiate bulk deals with our supply chain.

Full in-house training will be given on our processes and IT packages, as well as additional courses relevant to the role, if the applicant so wishes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Obtain the best possible rates for the material to stay below the budgetary requirement and procure
- Build, manage & maintain relationships with the supply chain
- Report to Procurement Manager periodically with progress updates
- Always uphold the professional and progressive image of the company
- Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position

**Criteria**

**Essential**
- 2nd Level education with strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills

**Desirable**
- 3rd level Education with strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
- Interest in pursuing procurement qualification

**Experience & Knowledge**
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction or procurement environment
- Extensive and demonstrable experience of commodity management and procurement
- Strong experience and excellent working knowledge of supply chain interaction and negotiation
- Knowledge of material market rates

**Abilities & Skills**
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Organized and structured approach to your work
- Enthusiastic adopter/user of IT systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication abilities
- Proven record of delivering on-time quality work within budget and with mínimal supervision
- Good reporting skills
