The key tasks of this role include:

- Support the frontline team & Senior Payments Consultant in all stages of the supplier payments sales process - from initial discussions to Optima supplier analytics, supplier shortlisting & eventual deployment of new solutions
- Work with the frontline team to find & drive B2B new business / growth opportunities across all sectors within BCB & CIB
- Work directly with the frontline teams as an accounts receivables payments expert to scale up and deliver our clients’ ambition to grow their B2B card schemes
- Undertake discovery consultation with suppliers to understand their processes and be able to position the value that card acceptance could deliver to them specifically
- Work with our buyers to deliver the right messaging and content to their suppliers to market the value of card acceptance
- To understand and build relationships with the external B2B card processing landscape, the schemes and B2B specialist Payment Services Providers (PSPs), to educate our buyers suppliers on appropriate general market technologies and opportunities that can streamline card processing and even remove the need to present invoices
- Drive & in some instances, lead new B2B initiatives such as new ERP partnerships, supplier relationships & development commercial relationships with payment services providers & other payment industry third parties
- Support management of Optima supplier analytics tool, data trends from supplier files & the associated B2B sales pipeline reports
- Have experience in a finance / payments function role, ideally with a knowledge of card payments within B2B
- Ideally have knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) processing & the associated impact of late payments
- Have experience of back-office finance systems such as ERPs, related payment retrieval & reconciliation challenges
- Be able to clearly understand the pain points associated with accounts receivables & invoicing processes
- Be comfortable speaking to clients & suppliers regularly, often face to face
- Ideally have some experience in project/campaign management
- Be able to work in a hybrid environment with a mixture of time in the Bank/Scheme offices & travel to clients/supplier offices
