As a Residential Care Officer, you will provide high quality care and support, which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, behavioural, health, social and cultural needs of the children and families for whom our homes provide a service. This will include working with children with very challenging behaviour, complex emotional problems and other additional/special needs. We will provide you with a structured training program and support where needed to gain your required Level 3 Diploma in in Residential Childcare. If you already have this qualification, we will award the higher salary grade, and if you have the desire to develop your career further, we can consider supporting you through your Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care.

All you need to be a success is:

- A recognised Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a willingness to work towards within 18 months of appointment
- A positive attitude and experience of working with children and young people
- Ability to work over a 7-day shift rota system including working weekends and sleepovers
- Enhanced DBS clearance

You will receive a competitive salary, enhancements for the role and sleepover payments where appropriate. There may also further opportunities to pick up additional hours as and when required.

The salary grade on appointment will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Please note there are full time and part time opportunities available ranging from 30 - 37 hours per week.
