Pharmacy Dispenser

We are a unique dispensary, pharmacy and a small retail shop in one.. With the advantage of a dispensing robot and a 24hr collection point machine.

We are currently looking for an Experienced NVQ Level 2 Dispenser to come and join our team. Full or part time considered (full time being 37 hrs per week) **Monday to Friday** plus holiday and sickness cover. With occasional cover at our branch surgery in Lenwade.

**Job Purpose**:
Principle Purpose: To provide a caring, friendly and professional service to our customers whilst working with the team in order to support pharmacy/dispensary services.

Supports pharmacological services by providing first point of contact to our customers and patients, dealing with enquires, meeting regulatory requirements for the accurately handling medication.

**Main Responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities will include:

- Safe Dispensing and labelling drugs from stock, Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
- Issuing of repeat/acute medications
- Helping customers place medication requests
- Operating the dispensary/pharmacy computer
- Adhering to all dispensary/pharmacy Standard Operating procedures that you will be trained in
- Provide excellent customer service, be polite + courteous to customers
- Provide and support the team in delivering pharmacy services
- Monitor the fridge temperature and deal with waste as appropriate
- Sell medicines and handle prescriptions in line with the current pharmacy legislation and company policy
- Follow the company SOPs and protocols
- Ensure that company housekeeping and date checking procedures are followed
- Report any matters affecting the company, customer service, security, etc. Maintain good relationships with the pharmacy team, feeding-back relevant customer comments and concerns with the aim of improving the customer experience
- Maintain and submit all required paperwork
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Collecting payments for prescriptions
- Giving out prescription requests and dispensed items.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and adhere to the company dress code

**Skills/Qualifications**:
Experience of the SystemOne or Analyst clinical system would be an advantage.
