Weekend Ground Operations Assistant

Helicentre Aviation currently have a vacancy for a weekend Operations Assistant to be part of the core Operations Team managing busy, multi-aircraft, flying programmes and associated critical administrative roles.

Helicentre Aviation is a large provider of professional pilots to industry, offering a multitude of training courses, in addition to providing utility aircraft to satisfy several national inspection contracts, requiring aircraft to be deployed around the United Kingdom. We require applicants for a position within the Operations Team to demonstrate a range of positive behaviours and attitudes, as well as possessing high levels of communication and organisational ability. Our selection process is designed to identify these qualities and assess applicants against the required competencies.

**General Responsibilities**
- Housekeeping (tidying and cleaning of own work area and shared responsibility for communal areas)
- Meeting and greeting customers (including registration, making tea/coffee, showing visitors around)
- Taking payments (in person and over the telephone)
- Working to targets and KPIs as laid out by the directors
- Shared responsibility for covering other roles not listed below if a member of the team is absent
- Any other task requested by the directors

**Ground Operations**
- Fuel checks carried out on a daily basis, to ensure the quality of avgas and Jet A-1 stocks to be used in aircraft
- Keeping mobile fuel bowsers stocked up with suitable amounts of fuel for the day’s flying activities
- Fuel equipment checks carried out on a weekly basis, to ensure that the equipment used for dispensing and storing of avgas and Jet A-1 is maintained to a satisfactory standard
- Receiving and ensuring the quality of fuel deliveries
- Ground handling of company aircraft, where required
- Handling of visiting aircraft, including fuelling, aircraft marshalling, passenger escorting and taking payments for landing fees and fuel required.
- Management of cockpit cameras (GoPros), including downloading and storing footage
- Liaison with external maintenance companies wherever general maintenance is required to be carried out by a specialist or technician
- Flight logging and tracking using company procedures as well as keeping all daily records up to date

**Working Hours**
Friday - Half day
Saturday / Sunday - full working day
Monday - Half day

Onsite at our Leicester Airport training centre.

**Salary**
Annual salary will be £23,500 pro rata

**Start Date**
Negotiable
