Sitting in our External Affairs and Marketing Directorate, our Research and Insight team continually uses qualitative and quantitative methods to ensure our programs, products, and projects are delivering impact.

**About the Role**

As our new Impact Evaluation Officer, you will be hands-on in reporting the progress of our programs, with a focus on qualitative insights to demonstrate the impact to Sport England and other partners.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in the sports sector while learning and developing insight skills in a growing team.

**What Will You Be Doing?**
- Working with the Research and Insight (R&I) team to produce regular reports for sports and participation teams about their programs, highlighting strengths and weaknesses.
- Understanding British Cycling's social impact framework and identifying opportunities to collect data that showcases impact.
- Understanding Sport England's reporting requirements to demonstrate progress and learning.
- Collaborating with team members across the organization to understand their objectives and deliver research projects to meet those objectives.
- Working with the R&I team to develop questionnaires and discussion guides for research projects.
- Supporting the development and implementation of evaluation frameworks for British Cycling programs, work, and interventions.
- Implementing improved data collection methods.
- Collecting and compiling a bank of qualitative case studies about our programs for reporting.
- Traveling to meet and interview participants of British Cycling programs and projects.
- Creating compelling stories for internal and external stakeholders that demonstrate the impact of British Cycling's programs.

**About You**
- A passion for data, insight, and research—both qualitative and quantitative.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to write and present data in an impactful way.
- A desire to understand people, their motivations, and their barriers.
- An ability to spot opportunities to tell compelling stories using data and insight.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask on different projects.
- Creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and improve.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly and communicate clearly.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
- Social or market research experience is a bonus but not required.
