Credit Controller

Grafton Banks Finance are currently working with a growing commercial business with offices in Folkestone, Kent to recruit a Credit Controller on a full time permanent basis. Reporting into the Credit Manager and working in a team you will be responsiblefor successfully chasing payments and collecting debt for the business.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Setting up customer accounts and setting credit limits based on company risk management policies
- Credit referencing and insurance cover activities at account set up, period credit reviews and adhoc customer credit increase requests
- Effective liaison with the agencies, branches, insurers, customers, and credit control manager to ensure policy compliance
- Effective liaison with the stakeholders to collect cash timely and meet collection targets and KPIs and bad debt
- Ensuring the team are processing incoming payments, credit notes and other documentation
- Setup of customer sales accounts (credit, cash and drawdowns) in line with company and credit risk
- Chasing customers for overdue payments
- Run monthly statements after month end as required / sending overdue letters
- Liaison with solicitors/debt collection agencies, credit agencies and credit insurers as required.
- Identification of doubtful debt and input to bad debt provisioning for the group
- Effective management of delinquent accounts and management of the on-hold and ultimate legal process for non-payment
- Strong desire to work effectively as within a team and provide excellent service to all stakeholders

Start Date - 2023
