**Temporary position.
To be responsible for providing quick, efficient telecommunication, and information service 24 hours a day.
To carry out all aspects of responsibilities and duties in a pleasant and courteous manner at all times to all users of the service. Operators are required to use considerable initiative, to react quickly and efficiently in a crisis, and to work as an integralpart of a team in a department which is the first point of contact for the telecommunication services of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The efficiency of the service relies upon the teamwork of its staff and accuracy of information provided.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Computer literate
- Minimum 12 months experience working in a call centre
- Competent using all forms of telephony equipment - headsets, consoles, minicom, fax machines, paging equipment, 2 way radios, mobile phones, fire detection system and alarms
- Ability to calm angry callers, be empathetic and guide confused callers
- Experience working within a Healthcare environment - Desirable
