Our Maths and English provision support learners across 66 of our academy sites. Including both GCSE and Functional Skills. As a functional skills tutor specialising in Maths and English, you will be responsibly for supporting learners at our Manchester sites who are studying towards a qualification in our military and hair and beauty academies

**Role Information**
- We are looking for a tutor to work on a part time basis at 18.75 hours per week every Monday (at Manchester White Rose 7.5 hours) and every Tuesday (at Manchester MPCT 7.5 hours) with an additional 3.75 hours admin time to be taken at an agree time.- Work with a caseload of learners to support with GCSE delivery and ad hoc Functional Skills where learner needs permits.
- Understand and agree each learners starting point and skills development needs via initial assessments and diagnostics.
- Deal with learner’s face to face in our academies in groups.
- Take part in sanitation meetings and work collaboratively with fellow English and Maths peers and GCSE deliver manager to enhance curriculum and planning adhering to LCG and awarding body standards.
- Ensure ILPS are completed appropriate to individual learner requirements, including SMART target setting and incorporating planned review points
- Complete registers using our e portfolio and log quality samples of teaching and learning to highlight progress and distance travelled.
- Monitor attendance of all English learners on caseload and performance of the learners on an ongoing basis and effectively report to management
- Ensure that support systems are provided to facilitate positive retention, achievement and progression
- Timely completion of assessment and documentation to meet awarding body, funding body and organisational requirements
- Contribute where appropriate to learner disciplinary action requirements
- Undertake internal moderation activities as required
- Responsible for the bookings of all English examinations for those on caseload as well as SLC assessments.
- Work collaboratively with GCSE manager to ensure delivery targets are achieved.
- Promote and ensure safe working practices in line with current Health and Safety legislation, including health and safety department inspections and risk assessments
- Undertake appropriate learning and development activities as required for the job role and maintain a record of all CPD
- Demonstrate company core values and vision
