1. Assisting the Welsh Language Translators in the provision of a high quality professional translation service, from English to Welsh and from Welsh to English. Often working to tight timescales, this will require a fluent, extensive knowledge of both languages. The documents which would require translation may contain sensitive and/or complex information, including (but not be limited to):

- Policy and Procedure Documents
- Letters (e.g. complaints or letters from Assembly Members)
- Leaflets and posters
- Patient or personal identifiable information (PII)

3. To deal with and respond to all day-to-day enquiries and translation requests received by the Department. This will involve communication and liaison with staff from all service groups, departments, disciplines and grades across the Health Board

4. Recording, processing and coordinating all translation requests as they are received, and monitoring progress to ensure that they are managed effectively within agreed timescales. This will involve maintaining a database of all translation work carried out, and producing and maintaining regular analytical reports for the Welsh Language Officer, escalating any concerns in a timely fashion.

5. Developing and maintaining electronic and/or paper-based information systems using physical and software based solutions as required, which ensure that all information and files are held safely and securely, and are easily accessible when required.

6. Assisting the Welsh Language Office in the design and implementation of a programme of work to raise the profile and awareness, and to promote the use of the Welsh language across the Health Board.

7. Proactively identify additional activities or changes to working practices in accordance with the role, which would increase postholder efficiency and the efficiency of the team; offer suggestions for improvement and implement these in agreement with the Welsh Language Officer.

8. Contribute to team meetings offering suggestions for quality improvement. Actively engage in good team working to facilitate effective relationships.

9. Assisting the Welsh Language Translators and Welsh Language Officer in the design, creation and/or translation of Welsh and/or bilingual content for use on the Health Boards internet/intranet sites and social media channels.

10. Building and fostering good working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Health Board, including (but not limited to):
