Serve Talent have an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a successful and innovative Engineering business that specialise in offshore solutions based in Norwich. This is a dynamic, project focused role where you will be proactivelydriving design processes. This company is trusted and well-renowned for its oil and gas engineering solutions, with their people at the heart of everything that they do.

**What you will be doing**

You will be delivering work against an agreed project plan and will proactively drive the design process to conclusion. You will be effectively managing the project from initiation to delivery, and will be engaging proactively with customers and clientsto deliver the completed projects.

From compiling and presenting conceptual designs to the project team and suppliers, to undertaking Mechanical and Structural Calculations, due to the volume and scope of upcoming projects for this business no two days will be the same

This is a diverse and interesting position for an experienced Design Engineer to thrive, creating innovative conceptual designs and working amongst a well-oiled, highly driven and friendly team.

You will hold a qualification in Design Engineering and have experience working within the offshore industry, particularly with mechanical and structural design, as well as have previous experience creating 2D and 3D CAD designs. You will have previouslyutilised Solidworks and AutoCAD.

You will be a self-motivated and dedicated designer, capable of producing high calibre work on time and to a high standard, as well as being a confident communicator across all levels of businesses. You will take prive in your conceptual designs and enjoynurturing projects to completion.
