Rewind Operator

**The Company & Role**

NSD Labels are part of an international labelling and packaging company and have been based in Edinburgh for over 150 years. We offer a complete end-to-end labelling service to our customers, who are local and global companies in the food, beverage, healthcare, medical and chemical sectors.

Due to increased customer demand, we are currently recruiting for a Rewind Operator to rewind and inspect printed materials, ensuring the highest quality level is maintained. Once fully trained there is a requirement to work shifts with an associated shift allowance. Salary is dependent on experience.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To inspect and rewind to clients’ specific instructions.
- Replace or remove any imperfection to ensuring the printing process to ensure quality is 100%.
- Box up and package items securely to avoid damage in transit.
- Liaise with customer service if any issues arise on the job ticket.
- Ensure product produced accurately reflects the product card or proof.
- Adhere to company Sop’s and Health & Safety procedures.

**Key Competencies / Experience**
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A good team player with strong communication skills
- Process driven with an ability to follow instructions / SOP’s.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of working with slitting and rewind machines preferable although applicants with experience working with manufacturing equipment within in any packaging market will be considered.
- Prior experience of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma/Lean would be beneficial.
- Have obtained National 5 / NVQ Maths or an equivalent qualification.

**Salary**: From £19,506.00 per year
