Role Purpose and key accountabilities

Digital Business Change Team was set up in early 2020 to enable the delivery of the digital and data transformation programme globally. Core focus for the Change Team is the People (cultural / behavioural) element, to ensure the new ways of working are clearly defined and communicated to our target audience, so that we can successfully drive adoption of change and realise benefits. The Team is also managing a network of approximatly 150 Global Digital Change Agents (GD-CAN) to support embedding of change within their areas (comms cascade, inputting into user readiness activities, regular provision of feedback, participating in the definition of user experience activities and many more).

Driving activities that lead to users being prepared for the change outlined in the initiative.

Leading on the change Discovery and Definition phase by planning for and the delivery of the following activities; where applicable, with the use of suitable change management tools:
Defining the change drivers (linkage to the QinetiQ strategy)

Formulating / co-creating new case for change (incl. cost-benefit analysis)

Conducting early change impact assessment (impact of change on people, organisation, processes)

Stakeholder mapping to help define the right engagement methods for different interest groups (Power/Interest matrix, Radar, Personas)

Leading on the delivery of change activities with particular emphasis on shaping the approach to / and execution of user readiness stage; where applicable, with the use of suitable change management tools:
Tactical / operational comms activities

Definition of new ways of working supported by Digital solutions, to drive the right behaviours and help realise business benefits

Training strategy and delivery (where applicable); this includes conducting the training needs analysis and consideration of different learning styles (VARK)

Assessment of resistance to change and implementing interventions to address any major gaps between the desired state and the AS IS

Producing and packaging user readiness materials to support the transition of our People into the new ways of operating

Pro-actively driving adoption of new ways of working via liaising with the business leaders by regularly communicating on the expected levels of adoption, successes, benefits to embed the learnings and signpost the audience to user materials

Driving progress to help realise business benefits; putting the right governance in place, working closely with the benefits owners, reporting on progress, introducing interventions to help realise business benefits

Generating post go-live user satisfaction surveys to assess the levels of detractors vs promoters of the new Digital service; and implement interventions to address the key challenges

Working with different teams outside of Digital and Data Transformation Program to successfully transition into BAU

Embedding of the GD-CAN within the Digital and Data Transformation programme of change to obtain value from the network and secure our early adopters of change

Where applicable, allocating tasks to a Business Change Advisor who is assigned to the same project/programme as the Senior Business Change Advisor

Key Capabilities/Knowledge

**Strategic thinker**: ability to define change value proposition to fit in with the context of the DDT programme and to support strategic direction of QinetiQ

**Customer oriented**: ability to design and deliver change interventions with our customers in mind (external / internal); being able to identify and successfully engage with key stakeholders across QinetiQ globally

Ability to influence others and manage expectations

Advocate for new approaches to business change delivery, and a keen learner seeking out developments in business change methodologies and tools

Proven track record in the delivery of business change initiatives

**Communications skills**: excellent communications skills; ability to ensure a two-way dialog and demonstrate empathy to help us achieve digital transformation objectives

Self-starter with great attention to detail; ability to work with greater levels of ambiguity

Ability to work with moderate level of guidance

Experience & Qualifications

Qualified APMG Change Management Practitioner with substantial equivalent experience

Needs to work independently and be Subject Matter Expert in Change discipline

Experience of working in a high-paced environment with multiple top priorities

Previous experience in Project / Programme Management and / or Business Analysis field would be beneficial
