School Crossing Patrol

**JOB TITLE: SCHOOL CROSSING PATROL - NANT CELYN PRIMARY | BLENHEIM ROAD PRIMARY | YSGOL GYMRAEG CWMBRAN - HENLLYS WAY AND BLENHEIM ROAD SITE**

**SALARY: GRADE 2 | £23,500 PRO RATA £12.18 PER HOUR**

**HRS/WEEK: 7 HOURS 5 MINUTES PER WEEK**

**8:20 AM to 9:05 AM AND 3:10 PM to 3:50 PM (MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE)**

**WEEKS/YEAR: TERM TIME ONLY**

**CONTRACT: PERMANENT**

To ensure the safety of children crossing the road at a designated point between specified times. The discharge of these duties must not be to the detriment of other road users.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**

1. To ensure the safety of children crossing the road at a designated point.

2. To use all uniform and equipment provided for the safety of yourself, children and all other members of the public, especially when stopping traffic on the Highway.

3. To maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross.

4. To have regard to the Council’s responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2009.

5. To report any problems or difficulties to the Manager of the SCP Service.
