Stores & Facilities Labourer

We are looking for an energetic and flexible person to join the Stores and Facilities Team in Bromsgrove to fulfil the Stores and Facilities Labourer Role, based at the Bromsgrove Council Depot.

The primary purpose of this role is to clean the offices, mess areas, canteen and Toilets within the Depot building and also includes the cleaning and housekeeping around the external yard and to secure the building and site at the end of the working day.

The hours of this role are 37 hours a week, working between 10 am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday with 45 minutes lunch

**Key Requirements**

Clean Depot building, includes Offices, toilets, kitchen and canteen

carrying out cleaning and house keeping of external yard area

Secure building and Depot at the end of the working day

Assist the Supplies unit with unloading of deliveries and the safe storage of the items.

Carry out minor maintenance work around site when required

Liaise with contractors on site as required

**Skills & experience**

1 to 2 years experience Yardperson/cleaner/warehouse/Stores

Able to cope with the physical demands of the role

Must be able to carry out manual duties in all weathers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Self motivated and demonstrate initiative to solve problems with limited resources

Reliable and good timekeeper

Ability to plan and prioritise workload

counter balance fork lift truck license

Full UK driving license

Knowledge of repair and maintenance
