**Head of Finance**:

**The role**:

- We're in search of a Head of Finance to lead strategic initiatives and drive excellence.

As a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Finance holds responsibility for ensuring the precision of financial reporting and overseeing the organisation’s financial affairs.

**What you'll do**:

- Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring timely compliance with deadlines, including monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and all statutory reporting requirements.
- Presenting financial results, insights, and market changes to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the board, while offering strategic financial recommendations to the SLT.
- Play a key role in developing and attaining the strategy at both the business and departmental level.
- Manage the External Auditor relationship and ensure the organisation is compliant with accounting standards.
- Oversee the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaise with the external tax firm for advice.
- Supervise and direct the company's cash flow, ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls.
- Oversee hedging activities and manage foreign currencies.
- Supervise the company's banking and borrowing arrangements.
- Manage relationships with our Parent company and other stakeholders including HMRC, lawyers and insurance brokers.
- Perform investment appraisals and analysis.
- Directly manage the Finance Team, overseeing their activities and ensuring their training and development.
- Support commercial decision-making from margin analysis and pricing analysis.
- Manage and track budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information.
- Oversee the company’s financial systems including developing and improving systems and controls where possible.
- Conduct Risk Management analyses to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place.
- Deputise for the Finance Director at Board Meetings.

**What you'll need**:

- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a large manufacturing business.
- Experience of managing large teams (7+ direct reports)
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Strategic thinking
