We’re looking for a **KP **who believes in the power of people and food to make someone’s day.

Working closely with General manager and the kitchen supervisor in making the day smoother.

We want you to generate a culture of loyalty, positivity and opportunity whilst recognising the positive impact you can have on someone's day.

**What we are looking for**:

- You are detail oriented and thrive under pressure
- You have a ‘can do’ attitude
- You are passionate about a fresh and inclusive menu, vegan, gluten-free, etc
- You are passionate about customer service and can liaison with the FOH to ensure our customers have the best experience

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills and sinks
- Cleaning the entire kitchen once it is closed to ensure it is ready for the next day
- Maintaining the food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
- Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen
- Washing dirty dishes like cutlery, pots, cutting boards and pans or loading dishes into the dishwasher
- Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly
- Cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment like cookers, pots and food mixers
- Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items
- Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed
- Supporting the FOH: running dishes, cleaning tables

**This position could suit**:

- A student looking for a first job experience
- An experienced KP looking to get trained in other area of the cafe (training for FOH and BOH can be given)
- Someone with an interest in vegan/vegetarian/gluten free menus and café culture
