Rough Sleeper Inititative Worker

**ROUGH SLEEPER INTITIATIVE WORKER - Rochdale/Oldham based**
- **Fixed Term contract to March 2025**_

The Rough Sleeper Initiative is an Outreach programme, for which Sanctuary Trust receives funding from Oldham and Rochdale Councils.

Its aims are to ensure that no-one new to the streets sleeps rough for a second night, to minimise the flow of new rough sleepers onto the streets, and provide a consistent pathway onto accommodation and support services.

We need an enthusiastic RSI Worker to be based in Oldham.

The role will include visiting known areas of rough sleeping, identifying and engaging with rough sleepers, being proactive and working with service users to prevent and reduce risk of them returning to rough sleeping.

Our new RSI Worker needs to be a driver with access to a car (mileage will be reimbursed) and must be able to work unsociable hours including early mornings and late nights
- Work closely with existing partners in local authority area to provide a co-ordinated response to rough sleeping
- Provide a rapid response outreach service to make contact with people at times they are most likely to be sleeping on the streets
- Work with key partners to address the physical and mental health needs of rough sleepers

Sanctuary Trust are IIP accredited and are Disability Confident Committed

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £23,593.00-£24,205.00 per year
