Procurement Assistant

Jardox are currently recruiting a Procurement Assistant to join our Purchasing team. It is a really exciting time to join us in this newly created position as we expand our growing business. There is the opportunity to develop into a Junior Buyer position in time.

At Jardox, we are the "Taste Behind the Brands." Based in Sevenoaks and Wincanton, we are a ‘one stop shop’ for all savoury ingredients. We specialise in stocks, gravies, curry pastes, marinades, glazes, sausage & burger seasonings and herb & spice based products.

Your day will involve...
- Ensuring the accurate and timely supply of raw materials, consumables, and packaging
- Collaborating with Planning, Sales and Production teams to facilitate effective demand planning whilst considering warehousing constraints
- Collaborating with Product Development and Technical teams for sourcing and approval of new raw materials and suppliers
- Planning deliveries of raw materials into multiple sites
- Developing and maintaining an external network and working relationships with key suppliers
- Placing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Transferring of stock across multiple sites
- Problem solving and successfully building on the processes and procedures that are in place already
- Working closely with the warehouse team to ensure delivery targets are achieved
- Continuously improving purchasing methods and driving down external spend

You will ideally have experience in the following...
- Material management and stock control experience
- Experience in the food industry

Ideally you will have...
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple departments
- Attention-to-detail with the potential for strong strategic planning and organisational skills
- The strong desire and willingness to learn

This role is full time, 8am - 5pm. Our team is free to leave at 4.30pm if everything is sorted. We are more than happy after your probation period for you to work a day from home each week.

We close between Christmas and New Year and contribute to your pension at a rate of up to 5.5%. Holiday allowance is 25 days per year (plus bank holidays).
