Importo Ltd (part of Browns Food Group) have an exciting opportunity for an office-based Trainee Stock Controller to join their team based in Kirkconnel. We are an import and export business who have strong partners with both UK and international agents, and the capacity as part of our group to develop further international partners as needed.

This comes with the strength and leverage of being part of Browns Food Group. This extends to our import licensing services and our ability to identify opportunities in markets worldwide and mobilize products to these markets. You will be analysing supply chain data to ensure stock availability, placing purchase orders and transferring stock, and maintaining purchase and pricing reports.

This office based role will allow you to learn about our ever expanding group and is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills into a long career with Importo and Browns Food Group.

**Role Purpose**:
To ensure all the direct and indirect requirements for material supply to Browns Food Group and BFG customers are met. Liaising closely with Importo Operations Team / Browns Food Group planning teams and Group Purchasing Managers.

Full training will be provided.

Key accountable area;
- Controlling stock and stock values.
- Understanding customer requirements and using stock in the best possible rotations.
- Building group and customer relationships
- Monitoring weekly order patterns, understanding deviations.
- Ensuring stock levels are understood and achieved.
- Monitoring supplier contracts to ensure stock levels are maintained.
- Assisting in the development and continual improvement of systems.
- Receipting Stock to the system.

Hours of work Monday to Friday - Hours of work 8am - 5pm.
