**Creative Artworker**:
We are an award winning, well established greeting card company.

A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a passionate & hard working Creative Artworker.

They will have the experience/knowledge of: Preparing artwork with Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop & In Design.

**Role Description**:
The primary day to day tasks will involve scanning hand drawn artwork and preparing it for print. This will include:

- Colour correcting to match the original artwork and working with spot channels to create overlays for multiple print finishes
- Preparing barcodes and setting the back of the card with relevant information
- Ensuring all artwork is print ready, e.g. checking resolution, sufficient bleed and crop, check colour profile is appropriate for output media etc
- Working with our licensing partners to create repeat patterns and mocking up other products
- Checking and signing off proofs supplied by the printer

This is a varied role and other tasks will include:

- Maintaining and updating our website
- Creating brochures, adverts, newsletters and marketing material
- Preparing product data and images for sales purposes

Please note that this position is not a design role but having a creative eye and a flair for design are essential. You will need to ensure our brand is maintained and consistent across all projects.

**Requirements**:

- Be confident working in Adobe Creative Suite in particluar Photoshop, InDesign & Acrobat
- Ability to prepare pre-press files
- Knowledge of repeat patterns
- Detail-orientated, well organised, and able to work well with mínimal supervision
- Initiative to self-teach and update skills as some independent learning will be required
- Able to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good eye for detail including colour matching
- Experience of lithographic and digital printing would be preferred but not essential
- Relevant experience within the print industry would be a huge advantage

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Contribute and maintain all aspects of HAWSAW (Health and safety in workplace)
- Scanning & colour correcting to match the orginal artwork and working wth spot channels to create overlays for multiple print finishes
- Preparing barcodes and setting the back of the card with relevent information
- Ensuring all artwork is print ready, e.g. checking resolution, sufficient bleed and crop, check colour profile is appropriate for output media etc.
- Checking and signing of proofs from the printer
- Researching new and upcoming trends, originating new concepts and mood boards
- Creating & developing new ranges
- Communication to all levels within the business to ensure that all functions are aware of new designs pending arrival
- Planning and prioritising within the team daily
- Using a shared work task analysis for the benefit of maximum efficiencies

**Technical Requirements**:

- Adobe Creative Suite in particular Photoshop, InDesign &Acrobat
- Microsoft Excel & word skills would be beneficial

**KPI's / Potential measures**:

- Meeting agreed deadlines

**Salary**: £20,400.00-£30,000.00 per year
