Based in the picturesque village of Hutton Buscel, Scarborough, The Holt Retirement Home has an amazing opportunity for you to join their supportive and committed team.

As a handyman/woman you will need to provide maintenance services, in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Registered Manager

The safety of our care home residents and staff is really important. Your role will be to to work closely with the Registered Manager & Operations Manager and perform regular checks, carry out repairs as and when needed, contacting engineers or service agents. You’ll be confident doing fire, basic electrical and appliance checks. Faults must be reported and actioned promptly. We’ll also expect you to keep the grounds looking tidy and carry out general redecoration work. As our Maintenance Person, you’ll be a valuable member of our friendly, close-knit team, promoting the well-being of our residents and the successful running of our care home.

We're looking for someone with a UK driving licence who has solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY and painting/decorating. You'll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £11.35 per hour
