Juniper Ward

Juniper Ward is an 18 bedded NHS male acute ward with a further 6 Ministry of Defence speciality beds.

Our well-established, experienced team is a passionate, recovery focussed group, many of whom have been working at Parklands for at least a decade. Our patients are at the heart of everything we do, embracing new ideas and expressing creativity and a new opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join us

We are currently working on a Reducing Restrictive Practice project, implementing the Safewards Interventions and working towards our accreditation. We like to have a busy schedule of activities, events and opportunities for collaborative and engaged interactions with the patients on the ward and we are fortunate to have a rich Multi-Disciplinary Team of Nurses, Doctors, OTs, Inpatient Social Worker, Peer Support Workers, Carer’s Liaison, Activity Co-Ordinator, Admin, Students, Psychology and Physical Health Leads.

There is opportunity to further your training and take a lead role in areas of interest to you among many other benefits. We will provide access to training relevant to your role as a Healthcare Support Worker and an opportunity to develop beyond this.

Parklands Hospital is located in Basingstoke, close to rail and bus links with free parking on site. The unit is beautifully situated next to open countryside, and we benefit from an on-site nursery on the adjacent Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital site.
