As a tobacco dependence specialist, the role involves providing tobacco management interventions within West London NHS Trust, including individual and group sessions, promoting smoking cessation services. Collaborating with various agencies and stakeholders, the post holder identifies service development opportunities to meet national and local smoking prevalence targets. Responsibilities include providing specialised behavioural support, advising on nicotine replacement therapy, and ensuring adherence to guidelines. Additionally, the role entails workforce management, liaising with professionals, and contributing to service improvement projects. The post holder is expected to maintain confidentiality, adhere to health and safety regulations, and engage in professional development. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Essential experience includes working in a mental health service and delivering smoking cessation support. Desirable experience involves working in the statutory or voluntary sector in health-related work, working with mental health service users, and providing evidence-based psychology interventions.
