Temp Ledger Clerk

A great opportunity has arisen for a Ledger Clerk to join a local business on a temporary basis. Working on a temporary, on-going basis, into the summer, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for temporary work within a friendly FinanceTeam.

Hourly pay is competitive and is circa £12 per hour, but this can be flexible for the right individual. Ideally, you will be immediately available to support the Finance Team through a busy period.

This role will ideally be a full-time position, but individuals can be considered on a part-time basis too.

Key responsibilities of the Ledger Clerk will include:

- Daily processing of invoices, credit, debit notes and respective payments
- Process expense invoices and assist in the preparation of regular reconciliation
- Credit Control and Sales Ledger responsibilities and duties
- Dealing with supplier queries and correspondences
- Working as part of a team to ensure all department objectives are achieved
- Other ad hoc duties to support the wider Finance Team.

The successful Ledger Clerk will ideally have:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good team working and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously and to own initiative
- Working knowledge of accountancy software such as Sage, QuickBooks or Xero would be beneficial

This role would be an excellent position for an Accounts Administrator, Finance Admin, Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant or Finance Officer looking for a new opportunity, as well as a Purchase Ledger or Sales Ledger Clerk.

This role is commutable from Scarborough, Bridlington, Filey, Hunmanby and surrounding areas, with on-site parking available. This role is also commutable via public transport.
