Laurel Ward is an 11 bedded mixed gender elderly inpatient ward caring for patients with dementia.

You will need to attend mandatory and statutory training and be aware of operational policy and procedures to ensure safe and high standard of care is delivered alongside the team

Providing person centred care for older people with an organic mental illness and physical health problems.
Assisting patients with personal care and dietary requirements
Monitoring and recording of physical health
Therapeutic observations
Input with patients recovery plan
Liaison and support to relatives and other services
Recording on Patients clinical notes
Escorting patients to appointments
Assisting nursing staff with admission and discharge procedures.
