Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Lead (contract) to work in our Staines office. The role will be to provide Construction support to a Middle Eastern oilfield FEED project.

**Workscope**
- Delivering Construction activities in line with Construction Excellence Framework
- Demonstrate HSSE&S leadership in line with company expectations
- Drive safety leadership and ensuring safe delivery of multi-discipline work scopes
- Assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuous improvement
- Feedback to the design teams to enhance the design element and highlight any special recommended to reduce risk or optimise schedule
- Constructively challenge engineering concepts with a view to minimizing shutdown schedule
- Carrying out reviews of drawn information to ensure construction requirements are met and the designs are capable of installation without harm to the installers or the surrounding plant
- Reviewing engineering design documents for constructability, providing accurate feedback
- Providing guidance on design schemes and sequencing the work
- Attendance at appropriate design reviews to provide construction advice
- Leading the brownfield construction effort to ensure delivery against milestones
- Conduct offshore site surveys for early tie-ins and brownfield modifications
- Preparation of site survey reports
- Provide schedule and resource projections for all EPIC scope of work through to start-up
- Provide brownfield input into the EPIC contracts ITT packages
- Defining schedule execution risks in general, and critical path specific risks during shutdowns
- Input into Project Risk management reviews
- Input to lessons learned

Skills / Qualifications:

- Previous Consruction Lead experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical sector
- Offshore construction experience
- Bosiet certificate
