Finance Executive

Edwards Coaches are a multi award winning Transport Company in South Wales. Due to the successful growth of our business we are requiring an Accounts Executive to assist the Management Accountant in the efficient control, recording and managing of the accounts function and to assist in ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
Main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Taking ownership of the accounting timetable to ensure that all process are in line with the business requirements
- Ensuring all invoices for hotels, tickets and wholesalers are received, properly checked, recorded and processed on a daily basis for payments to be made at the appropriate time.
- Assist in customer and supplier queries
- Supporting departments within the business on any accounting issues providing financial information and advice when required
- Preparation and organising of weekly and monthly payment runs
- Preparation and submission of UK and foreign VAT returns in a timely manner
- Submission of Insurance returns
- Producing various financial reports and ad-hoc management reports
- Assist in the audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Setting up of new costing spreadsheets where required
- Bank Reconciliations
- To work closely with the Management Account and deputise where necessary
- Understanding all financial and accounting regulations, keeping up to date with changes and ensuring company compliance
- Prioritising work
- Dealing with general administrative duties as applicable
**Experience/Competencies**
- Minimum of AAT qualified or part qualified accountant
- You must have a minimum of 5 years Accounting experience working in a busy, high volume environment
- Knowledge of financial systems is essential, knowledge of SAGE Line 200 preferable
- Experience of introducing new working practices and achieving efficiencies
- Must have good communication skills to enable effective integration with all teams within the department.
- Must be comfortable with working diligently to tight deadlines.
- Strong Excel reporting skills are essential
- Must be adaptable to working in an open plan environment and working as part of a team.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
