Butler Rose Procurement are delighted to be recruiting for a Category Buyer position based in Oxfordshire. The role would suit someone with experience in strategic buying in components from a manufacturing or industrial background.

About the Role:

- Manage Category portfolio and execute value for money decision making through spend leverage, cost bench-marking and contract negotiation
- Develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholder group globally to identify and plan for requirements
- Manage and develop the commodity area with an emphasis on continuous improvement
- Monitors supplier compliance and performance
- Track cost saving and price adjustment providing reporting against budget
- Actively promotes Procurement within the business to ensure best practice is delivered
- Managing expectation and change, particularly around process improvement and NP

Education, Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of buying finished goods or components in a multi-national organisation
- 1-3 years Category Management Experience
- Managing EMEA or International based suppliers
- Industrial/Manufacturing background
- Strong presentation/ communication skills
- Sound commercial understanding
- Strong numeracy and analytic skills
