Content Editor

**// DESCRIPTION**

As a Content Editor you are responsible for assembling recorded footage into a finished project that matches the Content Director’s vision and is suitable for public viewing. You should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.

You will play a crucial role in documenting the production journey of our new FPS Wardogs. You will be responsible for creating engaging and immersive video content that tells the story of our game development process. Your work will give our fans and the gaming community an inside look at the development, creative process, and the people behind the game.

**// RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Drive reach and reputation with digital content
- Work with a range of digital formats to increase brand recognition
- Own and champion the brand of the company and products
- Film videos on set or on location.
- Manipulate and edit video content
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process

**// DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, motion graphics and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
