**About the Role**:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join various schools across Bedfordshire. In this role, you will support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting, under the direction of the lead teacher. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and who thrive in diverse educational environments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the educational and social development of students with special educational needs under the direction and guidance of the classroom teacher and SENCO.
- Support students with emotional or behavioral problems and help develop their social skills.
- Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher.
- Assist in creating a supportive learning environment.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom, enabling them to participate in activities.
- Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, as necessary.
- Participate in training and development sessions to improve teaching practices.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong empathy and understanding of children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and understanding of equal opportunity issues in education.
- Must have a current Enhanced DBS check or be willing to undergo one.
