Legacy Mentor

The Legacy mentor role should appeal to experienced social care nurses in the late stages of their career. You will be helping pre-registration students and newly qualified nurses by imparting your knowledge, skills and experience through coaching and supporting them in the early stages of their nursing journey. This will include peer and pastoral support, delivery of presentations and managing small projects.

This role will be key in supporting colleagues to stay and stay well. You will need to be confident in building relationships and collaborating with others. You will be providing coaching and mentoring (we will expect you to attend a coaching course) to give you the skills for this. In exchange we ask that you are passionate about nursing and passing on your legacy to others. Applicants must have an accredited teaching qualification or equivalent e.g. Supervisor/Assessor preparation.

You will be expected to travel across Suffolk & North East Essex so you must be a driver and have access to a car.

This role will sit under the Lead Practice Educator at Suffolk & North East Essex ICB working in a Community of Practice with the other Legacy Mentors in the system.

Secondment/Fixed term contract until 31st March 2024
