Accounts Administrator

Hourly Rate: £11.50 - £13.75 dependent on experience
Here at Sceptre we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our ever growing team. You will be required to cover all duties detailed below and other tasks required by the Accounts Manager.
**We have 2 options for this role;**
**Part time** to cover a minimum of 22 hours a week. Our aim is to be as flexible as possible with the part time role to allow all applicants an equal opportunity, ideally, we ask for some of these hours to be covered on a Tuesday and Wednesday, however we are happy to discuss suitable days/hours at interview stage. Overtime available.
**Full time** to cover Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, covering 37.5 hours a week.
You will need to be a hard-working individual who is willing to learn and adapt to the requirements of the company. Although you will have support from our Accounts Manager, you will need to be capable of managing your workload, carrying out tasks in a timely manner and meet set deadlines on your own.
Duties Include;
- Taking and diverting calls
- Calculating weekly timesheets + updating payroll hour slip spreadsheet
- Gaining approval of supplier invoices + posting to accounting system
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Chasing debtors / sending customer statements
- Posting purchases made on company credit cards and allocating / reconciling statements
- Job costing using accounting software / assist projects team
- Managing HRonline + holiday requests
- Review of health and safety accreditations + annual renewals
- Reviewing and updating Constructionline
- Completion of new customer forms / supplier forms
- DBS checks
- Security clearance records
- Assist with training bookings + tracking training dates
- Creditor due list
- Filing of paperwork / Year end filing and prep
- New starter packs / carrying out employee inductions
- Stationery ordering
- Booking stay away accommodation + requesting allowances.
- Updating Sceptre policy statements
You may be required to process payroll and other accounts duties to cover holiday/absence of the Accounts Manager.
Experience using Sage Accounts or a similar book keeping software would be advantageous.
You will be required to attend the office to carry out your hours, Sceptre are based in Somerton, Somerset, TA11. Please check commuting distance before applying.
