**Payments Risk & Outsourcing Manager**

**Location: London**
**Length: 12 Months**
**Rate: £32.14 per hour PAYE (Approx. £66,851.20)**

**Hours: 9am - 6pm**

As the Payments Risk & Outsourcing Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations and governance of APUK. You will report to the Managing Director, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Payments Operations, Treasury, and Finance, to mitigate risks and uphold regulatory standards in the payments industry.

**Responsibilities**:
Enterprise Risk Management
- Utilize and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework to identify, assess, track, monitor, and report on all aspects of risk. Provide regular updates from the ERM to the APUK Board and other leadership teams.
- Review and enhance risk documentation, including policies, methodologies and risk appetite statements to meet regulatory obligations and align business needs.
- Conduct an enterprise risk assessment based on the existing methodology to identify and mitigate risks that may be exposed to APUK.
- Build relationships with and actively manage key stakeholders both internally and externally to help mitigate the highest identified risk items for APUK.
- Collaborate with other governance team members to conduct internal and external audits and ensure key regulatory requirements are monitored, issues identified are appropriately remediated, and results are communicated with key stakeholders.
- Foster a risk culture within the team and provide risk advice when needed.

Outsourcing Governance
- Manage the outsourcing framework, including policies, outsourcing register and SLA documents.
- Support the onboarding of new outsourcing arrangements in accordance with defined policy.
- Conduct due diligence and risk assessment for new and existing outsourcing arrangements.
- Monitor and report on SLAs regularly, addressing any misses promptly.

**Skills**:Basic Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in multiple aspects of risk management, including but not limited to operational risk, financial risk, and compliance risk, etc.
- Experience in developing and managing enterprise risk management frameworks and outsourcing frameworks for payment institutions.
- Exceptional organization and process management abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset; solutions-oriented.
- High level of comfort with ambiguity, in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to make sound and well-balanced judgments when necessary.
- Ability to learn quickly and embrace change
- Prior experience working in an FCA regulated environment

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree in related fields
- Certifications in enterprise risk management or operations/process improvement
- Analytical approach to measuring/optimizing performance
- A background in management consulting would be an asset
